Advancement Staff

Advancement Director:

John Morvant, AFSC – John has enjoyed a long and storied history at Saint Paul’s School. Arriving in August, 1977, Mr. Morvant served as a coach, classroom teacher, and guidance counselor in his early years here. In 1988, Principal Bro. Raymond Bulliard appointed John as his Assistant Principal, and Bro. Ray and John served together in those roles for the next 20 years.

In 2009, John departed to become the founding high school principal and headmaster at Christ Episcopal School in Covington, retiring after 14 years in that role.

In the fall of 2023, Interim Saint Paul’s President Trevor Watkins invited John to return to Saint Paul’s, to assume the new position of Director of Advancement. In that position, he oversees the operations of the entire Advancement team, including Admissions, Marketing and Communications, Development, and Alumni Relations. The role of Advancement is to support the growth of the school, to advance the mission of Saint Paul’s, and to engage parents, alumni, and others in the community in those efforts.

John’s son, Ben Morvant, graduated from Saint Paul’s in 2004.

Admissions Director:

Mimi Monteiro – Mimi officially became a part of Saint Paul’s staff in 2015, but her heart was here long before that.  Since graduating from LSU with a degree in molecular biology and pursuing an interest for research and science, an even greater passion for her family, faith, and community re-directed her to becoming a volunteer extraordinaire in the Mandeville/Covington community in order to be spend time with her two sons, Beau ’17 and Deuce ’20.

Her family is so passionate about Saint Paul’s School that they returned home to south Louisiana from Denver so the boys could attend.  Having worked in the school district in Colorado, Mimi realizes the importance of  giving 110% to make sure the school has every resource possible for a quality education for all, including her enthusiasm for Admissions.  “It is a blessing to be part of such a God-loving community and watch these young men become our Lasallian leaders of tomorrow.” m.monteiro@stpauls.com

Alumni Director:

Al Nastasi ’91 – As an alumnus of the Class of 1991, I was able to experience firsthand for five years a “good place to grow up” in Saint Paul’s School. I am now equally as blessed to be able to observe from the vantage point of Alumni Director,  the transformation of the lives of the leaders of tomorrow and our future alumni on an almost daily basis.
